    Important Travel Information - Greece

Passports: All students will need a passport to participate in NUin.  Students who do not already have a passport should apply for one as soon as possible.  U.S. Citizens can find more information at the US Department of State passport site.  Students must have passport that are valid for at least three months after they are scheduled to leave Greece.  Any students whose passports are due to expire on or before April 1, 2010 should renew them now.

Visas:  Students will need to apply for a Student Visa, at the approximate cost of $50 USD.  More information on applying will be given to enrolled students.

International students: please contact nuin@neu.edu with passport and visa questions.

Health insurance:   Interested students should check now to see if they have international coverage from their current healthcare provider.  If they do not, students should buy an overseas option to be covered while in Greece.

Supplementary medical security and travel services: Students will automatically be covered under International SOS, a study abroad medical security and travel service, which is included in the cost of the program. SOS supplements students’ regular health insurance by providing them with worldwide quality healthcare and emergency assistance services 24 hours a day.
