What is the deadline for enrolling in this program?
The deadline for enrolling in NUin is May 11, 2009. The $1500 non-refundable deposit fee can be paid through the Admitted Student Portal, www.myNEU.neu.edu. These programs will fill on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited. When participants pay their $1500 NUin fee, they must also remember to make their deposits for Spring 2010.
Is there an orientation program?
Prior to leaving, participants will spend three days at Northeastern to participate in a Pre-departure Program to become familiar with Northeastern and the NUin program. There will also be a parent program on the first day of the Pre-departure Program.
Is there supervision?
There will be professional staff supervision in Boston (for the Pre-departure Program) and abroad for the duration of the NUin program.
How does participating in this program affect any loans students may get?
NUin participation does not affect financial aid and/or scholarship awards for the Spring 2010 semester.
Is there financial aid available for this program?
Participants participating in the NUin program are not eligible for most types of financial aid, including federal, state and institutional aid. Most private education loans cannot be used for this program. Limited financial assistance is available for qualified students, based on demonstrated need as determined by the CSS Profile form. To request consideration, please email sfs@neu.edu. Please indicate in the subject line of the email that the request is for the NUin Program.
Are payment plans available?
Northeastern offers a short-term monthly payment plan administered through a payment service. Participants do not have to pay interest, only an enrollment fee. More information will be provided to enrolled participants.
I am an international student. How can I participate in NUin?

How do the credits transfer?
Passing grades (a “C” or better) are brought into NU as transfer credit.
