Service-Learning Placements in Australia
sl1N.U.in Australia students typically participate in a combination of weekly individual service commitments and one-time, group service events with the other N.U.in participants. Service-Learning projects cover a range of areas including fund raising events, environmental and conservation projects, English tutoring projects, marketing and retail management, event organization, and preparing and serving food for the homeless. Participants work for a variety of organizations, mainly charities, but also community organizations such as the Town Art Gallery and Swinburne College.

Placements will most likely involve:

  • Language Tutoring

Service-Learning Survey
In order to place students into appropriate sites, students are asked to complete an online Service-Learning survey prior to arriving in Melbourne. Participants will receive a link to this survey via email and are required to submit their answers by May 15, 2013.
