N.U.in Australia students may live with one, two or three roommates within the UniLodge residence. Students receive their roommate assignments once they arrive in Melbourne. We encourage students to develop adaptability skills and to broaden their social network as much as possible, and as such, we are not able to accommodate roommate requests.
Living With Roommates and When to Seek Support
Living with roommates can certainly be an adjustment for some students. The N.U.in staff has written some guidelines for students on how to communicate with roommates. Review the “Living With Roommates 101” guidelines carefully. Students can prevent conflict by being proactive with their communication. Keep in mind that the N.U.in on-site staff is available to students who are seeking advice about how to handle a roommate conflict.
N.U.in Housing Form
Students complete an Enrollment Form via their myNEU student portal before departure which collects personal information, housing details, and learning disability accommodation requests. The enrollment form will be available beginning April 15, 2013, and can be accessed by logging into myNEU, clicking on the “Self-service” tab and then “The N.U.in Program."
*Please note that the housing survey for the Spring 2014 semester is due May 1, 2013 and can also be accessed via students' myNEU portals under the “Self-service” tab.
