Computers & Internet

Computer fees include wireless internet in each room. However, please note that US standards for internet access are often quite high, and internet speed in Australia can be slower. Be aware that the service is unlikely to conform to the same expectations of access, dependability, and speeds found on Northeastern’s campus.

Please note that students will need to purchase ethernet cables for Internet access, both while abroad and for use in Northeastern residence halls. These can be bought when students arrive in Melbourne or purchased beforehand. In addition, internet usage in the residence halls is restricted and students will have to pay for any usage that exceeds the monthly per-person limit. Although SUT has computer labs and printing services, we advise students to bring their own laptops.
