Northeastern welcomes 119th entering class

At the President’s Con­vo­ca­tion on Tuesday morning, Pres­i­dent Aoun, along with other uni­ver­sity and stu­dent leaders, under­scored the diver­sity of the incoming freshman class and pointed to the myriad opportunities—from global co-​​op, to cutting-​​edge research, to stu­dent organizations—that lie ahead.

Meet the graduates: Julieta Moradei

Julieta Moradei was just 16 years old when she enrolled at North­eastern. After grad­u­ating with five co-​​ops, she will begin a PhD pro­gram in struc­tural engi­neering at the Uni­ver­sity of Cal­i­fornia, Berkeley–one of six offers from pres­ti­gious schools including MIT, Stan­ford, and Princeton.

Challenge to new students: explore the world, seize the day

Some 2,800 new stu­dents were offi­cially wel­comed into the North­eastern com­mu­nity on Tuesday at the President’s Con­vo­ca­tion, where they were encour­aged to take advan­tage of the many oppor­tu­ni­ties they’ll have at the university.
