Northeastern welcomes 119th entering class

At the President’s Con­vo­ca­tion on Tuesday morning, Pres­i­dent Aoun, along with other uni­ver­sity and stu­dent leaders, under­scored the diver­sity of the incoming freshman class and pointed to the myriad opportunities—from global co-​​op, to cutting-​​edge research, to stu­dent organizations—that lie ahead.

New campus mural from start to finish

Uni­ver­sity pho­tog­ra­phers were there to doc­u­ment Boston-​​based artist Cedric Dou­glas as he cre­ated a new mural on the Behrakis Health Sci­ences Center. The mural is the latest instal­la­tion in Northeastern’s Public Art Initiative.

Two students named Oxfam America Change Leaders

Peyton Perry and Taj Akin­bode will spend the 2016–17 aca­d­emic year working to right the wrongs of poverty, hunger, and social injus­tice through campus projects and pro­grams, har­nessing their pas­sion for human­i­tarian work and social change to spear­head spe­cial events for stu­dents, fac­ulty, and staff.

Northeastern University to open regional campus in Toronto

Building on the suc­cess of its regional campus net­work in selected U.S. cities, North­eastern Uni­ver­sity will launch its first inter­na­tional campus in 2016. North­eastern will open a loca­tion in Toronto, Ontario, where it will offer pro­fes­sional grad­uate pro­grams that are industry-​​aligned and tai­lored to meet the spe­cific needs of learners and employers in the region.
