President Aoun urges Defense Dept. to restore military tuition assistance

In a letter to Defense Sec­re­tary Chuck Hagel on Sunday, Aoun wrote that active duty mil­i­tary, Reserve, and National Guard mem­bers shouldn’t be pre­vented from accessing higher edu­ca­tion ben­e­fits due to the gov­ern­ment shut­down. North­eastern will pro­vide direct finan­cial assis­tance to pre­vent a dis­rup­tion in their education.
