First genome of an Antarctic notothenioid fish sequenced

North­eastern is part of an inter­na­tional research team that has sequenced the first genome of an Antarctic notothe­nioid fish. The break­through will shed light on the animal’s unique evo­lu­tionary adap­ta­tion to freezing waters.
