Thomas Web­ster, pro­fessor and chair of the chem­ical engi­neering depart­ment, knows the value of working over­seas and of con­ducting research out­side North­eastern. Putting the two together, he launched a summer pro­gram that gives under­grad­u­ates research oppor­tu­ni­ties at seven uni­ver­si­ties around the world and brings stu­dents from those insti­tu­tions here.
