Nobel laureate to join Northeastern faculty

Sir Richard Roberts, a Nobel lau­reate and glob­ally rec­og­nized leader in genomics and mol­e­c­ular biology, has joined the uni­ver­sity as a Dis­tin­guished Uni­ver­sity Pro­fessor in the Col­lege of Science.

Manipulating the microbiome

In col­lab­o­ra­tion with the J. Craig Ventor Insti­tute, biology pro­fessor Slava Epstein will study the roles of micro­bial species in model bac­te­rial com­mu­ni­ties of Northern Greenland.
