Student group brings joy to people with disabilities

Northeastern’s stu­dent chapter of Best Bud­dies Inter­na­tional counts more than 40 young human­i­tar­ians who vol­un­teer to enhance the lives of people with intel­lec­tual and devel­op­mental dis­abil­i­ties. Alex Linden, BHS’17, and Melissa Jacques, S’17, are two of those human­i­tar­ians. On Friday, they’ll help host Northeastern’s inau­gural “Spe­cial Spirit” bas­ket­ball game.

Delta Tau Delta teams up to fight type 1 diabetes

Northeastern’s chapter of the Delta Tau Delta fra­ter­nity will host an event to raise aware­ness and funds in sup­port of type 1 dia­betes research on Sat­urday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the West Vil­lage Quad. The fes­tiv­i­ties will include food, lawn games, and a dunking booth.
