Northeastern honors King’s legacy

The John D. O’Bryant African-​​American Insti­tute cel­e­brated the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Wednesday, the day that would have marked the civil rights leader’s 85th birthday.

50 Years Forward’ series honors civil rights efforts

In cel­e­bra­tion of the 50th anniver­sary of the land­mark Civil Rights Act, North­eastern Uni­ver­sity has orga­nized a year­long series com­mem­o­rating the people, events, and groups ded­i­cated to civil rights in America and around the globe. These events include a Gallery 360 exhibit opening Thursday.

Let’s start at the beginning

North­eastern on Wednesday cel­e­brated the release of polit­ical sci­ence pro­fessor William F.S. Miles’ newest book, Afro-​​Jewish Encoun­ters, which details his many trips to Africa over the last 35 years.
