Student project reimagines Forsyth Street as iconic green space

An inter­dis­ci­pli­nary group of North­eastern stu­dents have com­bined their knowl­edge of engi­neering and archi­tec­ture to create a plan to revi­talize Forsyth Street, trans­forming it from a prime thor­ough­fare for cars and buses into a lush green space for pedes­trians and bicyclists.

Northeastern corrects the record on city councilors’ claims

North­eastern, on Tuesday, refuted claims made by Boston city coun­cilors Tito Jackson and Josh Zakim regarding the university’s strategy to respond to a pos­sible active-​​shooter sit­u­a­tion on campus. In a letter to all mem­bers of the Boston City Council, uni­ver­sity offi­cials noted that “NUPD offi­cials made the Boston Police aware of the plan in mid-​​October, long before the issue became public.”

Fall fun in the sun

Thou­sands of North­eastern stu­dents packed the campus quads on Monday for Fall Fest ’15, an annual fes­tival cel­e­brating the start of the new semester with music, food, dance per­for­mances, games, and give­aways.
