Northeastern's space in Second Life
Northeastern's Second Life presence

1.9.09

The Educational Technology Center and the Marketing & Communications Department have completed Phase I of Northeastern University's presence in Second Life with a re-creation of the Krentzman Quadrangle. Second Life is an online 3D immersive environment used by many businesses and educational institutions for meetings, demonstrations, and conferences as well as an array of other creative endeavors. Phase I includes an amphitheater for lectures and presentations as well as a number of smaller meeting spaces for faculty to use for classes or office hours. There is also open space that has been set aside for faculty to use for future projects. You can visit the Northeastern’s virtual campus in Second Life by clicking on the link below. Once there, you will also find links to information about admissions, student life, and other resources, as well a special gift for all visitors. Please contact Seth Merriam (s.merriam@neu.edu) for more information or to discuss any ideas you might have for Northeastern's virtual campus.
