Science of a slap shot

Christo­pher Hasson, assis­tant pro­fessor in the Depart­ment of Phys­ical Therapy, studies muscle mechanics, specif­i­cally in the con­text of aging. His inti­mate knowl­edge of the way our bodies move gives him a unique per­spec­tive when it comes to watching con­tact sports like hockey. Here, he explains the tech­ni­cal­i­ties of the motion behind a slap shot.
