Pres­i­dent Joseph E. Aoun (right) meets with Under Sec­re­tary of Edu­ca­tion Martha Kanter and Con­gressman Michael Capuano at a recep­tion in Wash­ington on Tuesday evening for mem­bers of Con­gress, Depart­ment of Edu­ca­tion leaders, fac­ulty and alumni. Ear­lier in the day, Aoun chaired his first Amer­ican Council on Edu­ca­tion meeting, and later met with law­makers on issues impor­tant to higher edu­ca­tion.
