  • The men's basketball team kicked off its 2012-13 season in spectacular fashion, as sophomore Demetrius Pollard hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to lift Northeastern over crosstown rival Boston University.

  • Students experience the new interactive walls at the Visitors Center at Northeastern University.

  • Chris Wolfel (left), Ethan Bagley (right) and Julian Jung (center), alongside other students and mentors, meet at the IDEA lab at Northeastern University. IDEA, Northeastern's student-run venture accelerator, provides mentorship, resources, and gap funding to new businesses and works as a proving ground for entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial ventures.

  • The 2011-12 women's hockey team had many notable accomplishments, including the program's first Hockey East Regular Season Championship and its first Beanpot title since 1998.

  • At a Veterans Day ceremony, President Joseph E. Aoun and U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano lay a wreath in honor of veterans who lost their lives in Operation Enduring Freedom.

  • The Northeastern community took tours and listened to presentations on faculty and student work at the Digital Media Commons Open House in November in Snell Library.
