Money talks

Co-​​authors John Nichols (right) and Robert Waterman McCh­esney, answer audi­ence ques­tions after dis­cussing their new book, Dol­laro­c­racy: How the Money and Media Elec­tion Com­plex Is Destroying America, last Wednesday at Snell Library as part of the Meet the Author series.

McCh­esney is a pro­fessor of com­mu­ni­ca­tions at the Uni­ver­sity of Illi­nois at Urbana-​​Champaign, and Nichols is a polit­ical jour­nalist for The Nation mag­a­zine and the asso­ciate editor of the Cap­ital Times. They both founded Free Press, a national media reform organization.
