Gingerbread houses get a fair shake

Civil engineering seniors Sarah Casey (third from left) and Kathleen Keen (second from right) watch along with other students as gingerbread houses are tested on an earthquake-simulating shake table as part of a student competition on Wednesday. The lab run by Mishac Yegian, Distinguished Professor of Engineering, served as the competition site. The event was organized by the Northeastern chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
