A grip on science

Irina Ter-​​Ovanesyan (center), a stu­dent at the Driscoll School (K-​​8) in Brook­line, Mass., uses a device to mea­sure hand-​​grip strength at Northeastern’s Human Per­for­mance and Exer­cise Lab­o­ra­tory in the Behrakis Health Sci­ences Center as part of the school’s  “Sci­ence Sol­stice” pro­gram.  Stu­dents par­tic­i­pated in a series of mea­sured phys­ical fit­ness tests to learn about the sci­ence of exer­cise.
