A grip on science
Irina Ter-Ovanesyan (center), a student at the Driscoll School (K-8) in Brookline, Mass., uses a device to measure hand-grip strength at Northeastern’s Human Performance and Exercise Laboratory in the Behrakis Health Sciences Center as part of the school’s “Science Solstice” program. Students participated in a series of measured physical fitness tests to learn about the science of exercise.
