November Project began when two Northeastern men’s rowing alumni Brogan Graham and Bojan Mandaric decided to stay in shape during Boston’s bitter winter season.

They mutually agreed to exercise three days a week all year long but needed a way to maintain accountability.

In fall of 2011, Graham and Mandaric initiated November Project, a grassroots fitness movement that welcomes all members of the public regardless of age, size and physical fitness level to participate for free. Participants just need to show up to the meeting place and be prepared to exercise.

Through word of mouth and social media, November Project has expanded to become active in 15 cities across North America with one of its newest chapters in Los Angeles.
