Whether stu­dents are earning an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree, there is a great deal they can learn in the class­room. How­ever, many aca­d­emic pro­fes­sionals preach the value of expe­ri­en­tial learning. This prac­tice involves a variety of types of hands-​​on expe­ri­ence as part of a degree pro­gram, including intern­ships and coop­er­a­tive edu­ca­tion, or co-​​ops.
