North­eastern University’s School of Nursing, part of its acclaimed Bouvé Col­lege of Health Sci­ences, will cel­e­brate its 50th anniver­sary on November 2, 2013 at the Colon­nade Hotel in Boston at 6 p.m.

Boston’s WCVB-​​TV Meterol­o­gist Danielle Vollmar will be the Master of Cer­e­monies for the evening. Afaf I. Meleis, the Dean of Uni­ver­sity of Pennsylvania’s School of Nursing, will deliver a keynote address enti­tled, “Leading Through Part­nering: Global Health for the Future.”

During the event, the School of Nursing will honor Sharon Gale, CEO of the Orga­ni­za­tion of Nurse Leaders, as a Dis­tin­guished Alumna Awardee; Jane Aroian, Asso­ciate Pro­fessor and Coor­di­nator of the Nursing Admin­is­tra­tion Pro­gram, as a Dis­tin­guished Fac­ulty Awardeee; and Jeanette Ives Erickson, Chief Nurse and Senior Vice Pres­i­dent for Patient Care Ser­vices at Mass Gen­eral Hos­pital, as a Dis­tin­guished Health Care Professional.
