North­eastern Uni­ver­sity law pro­fessor Roger Abrams, who spe­cial­izes in sports and labor law, pointed out this labor suit comes on top of two other cases the NCAA is cur­rently facing, including an antitrust suit. The weight of all this lit­i­ga­tion will likely force change on the asso­ci­a­tion, he said. “There’s no ques­tion the NCAA and col­lege sports is going to change. We’re going to see more recog­ni­tion of the indi­vidual rights of players.”
