A new eco­nomic fore­cast released by the New Eng­land Eco­nomic Part­ner­ship offers an opti­mistic out­look for  Mass­a­chu­setts and for the region as a whole over the next five years.

Anchored by a pro­jected rise in employ­ment and delib­erate but steady eco­nomic growth, the fore­cast points to a surge in man­u­fac­turing, of all things, as a catalyst.
