Youth employ­ment across Mass­a­chu­setts, how­ever, is at a his­toric low. A study released by the Center for Labor Market Studies at North­eastern Uni­ver­sity said that only 27 per­cent of people aged 16 to 19 were employed in 2012, a 54 per­cent decrease from 1999. Employ­ment is at its lowest point since World War II.
