Mass­a­chu­setts has regained all the jobs lost in the last reces­sion after a steady recovery that has pro­gressed faster than the nation’s.

The Exec­u­tive Office of Labor and Work­force Devel­op­ment reported Thursday that employ­ment in Mass­a­chu­setts reached 3.3 mil­lion jobs, about 14,000 more than in April 2008, when employ­ment peaked before the recession.

That is a sig­nif­i­cant event,” said North­eastern Uni­ver­sity econ­o­mist Alan­ Clayton-​​Matthews. “Job growth has been strong, and the economy has been growing.”
