In just one week, Barack Obama and Mitt Romney will meet for the first pres­i­den­tial debate of the 2012 gen­eral elec­tion. The very first pres­i­den­tial debate in his­tory was held 52 years ago today between John F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon. Watching the debate on tele­vi­sion, Nixon’s family was very con­cerned about his appearance:
