Back in 2007, Red Sox enthu­siasm was at fever pitch. The roster was stacked with big names and even bigger per­son­al­i­ties who led the team to its second cham­pi­onship in three years. But this year, that level of excite­ment seems to have tapered, despite the fact that the Sox have the best record in baseball.
