Botox: The tell­tale frozen fore­heads and cheeks are ubiq­ui­tous sym­bols of vanity and status here in L.A. But recently, researchers have looked at other, non-​​cosmetic uses for Botox. One study pub­lished this year bol­stered a theory that the injec­tions may help relieve depres­sion. The idea is that when our faces are less able to express neg­a­tivity, our feel­ings follow along.
