The National Institutes of Health recognized Nikolai Slavov, assistant professor of bioengineering, with its New Innovator Award. On winning the award, Slavov said, “There is this momentum and enthusiasm for taking smart risks among both the faculty and students at Northeastern—asking big questions and doing whatever is required to contribute to their resolution.”
The yearlong graduate program is aimed at working professionals who want to become innovation leaders in the corporate environment.
Northeastern’s unique Lab to Ventures program guides top graduate students through the process of turning their research into independent, successful companies.
The center, made possible with a $5 million gift, helps foster and develop a new generation of entrepreneurs across academic disciplines.
The work of business professors Gloria Barczak, Edward McDonough III and Marc Meyer has brought Northeastern recognition as a top innovation management school.
Marc Meyer, professor in the College of Business Administration, weighs in on how the departure of Jobs will affect the Apple brand, and the importance of having a “face” to a brand name.
