Fall semester classes are still a week away, but campus is already bustling with activity, as thou­sands of stu­dents from across the United States and around the globe have begun arriving on Northeastern’s campus.

Dozens of Wel­come Week activ­i­ties are sched­uled for full-​​time under­grad­uate stu­dents, including manda­tory events and spe­cific pro­gram­ming for incoming freshmen and stu­dents in par­tic­ular colleges.

Here’s a run­down of some of the biggest activ­i­ties hap­pening over the next week:

Trash2Treasure Sale: Deck out your dorm room or apart­ment with gently used items — oth­er­wise des­tined for a trip down the garbage chute. These items, like mir­rors, bed risers and storage units, were col­lected during move-​​out by the Husky Energy Action Team for this yard sale-​​style event. Stu­dents looking to vol­un­teer at the sale can reg­ister online.
Sunday, Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Curry Stu­dent Center ballroom

Men’s Soccer vs. Har­vard: Root for the Huskies in a match against the Har­vard Crimson at Par­sons Field. Enjoy an athletics-​​sponsored bar­becue and mingle with North­eastern ath­letes, coaches and admin­is­tra­tors.
Sunday, Sept. 2. Game starts at 2 p.m., with buses leaving from out­side Chicken Lou’s on Forsyth Street at 12:30 p.m.

Xplo­saic — Exploring the Cul­tural Mosaic of Our Com­mu­nity: This car­nival event is orga­nized by Northeastern’s cul­tural cen­ters — the Asian Amer­ican Center, the Inter­na­tional Stu­dent and Scholar Insti­tute, the John D. O’Bryant African-​​American Insti­tute, the Latino/​a Stu­dent Cul­tural Center and the Spir­i­tual Life Center — and fea­tures inter­na­tional games, prizes, art, food, music, per­for­mances and more.
Monday, Sept. 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. on Cen­ten­nial Common (rain loca­tion: Cabot Phys­ical Edu­ca­tion Center).

President’s Con­vo­ca­tion: Pres­i­dent Joseph E. Aoun for­mally wel­comes stu­dents to campus in the tra­di­tional con­vo­ca­tion cer­e­mony. Those attending this event, manda­tory for new stu­dents, are asked to wear their par­tic­ular college’s t-​​shirt.
Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 9:45 a.m. in Matthews Arena. Imme­di­ately fol­lowing Con­vo­ca­tion is the New Stu­dent Wel­come Bar­becue on Cen­ten­nial Common (rain loca­tion is Cabot Phys­ical Edu­ca­tion Center).

Fall Activ­i­ties Fair: Explore the many unique oppor­tu­ni­ties to get involved on campus. At this fair, stu­dents can meet rep­re­sen­ta­tives from many of Northeastern’s more than 300 stu­dent orga­ni­za­tions.
Thursday, Sept. 6, from 3 to 5 p.m., Cen­ten­nial Common (rain date Monday, Sept. 10)
