Your Husky Card can do a lot more than grant you access to the library, your dorm room or a dining hall. In fact, it’s a pass­port to great deals and free­bies around Boston. Here’s a list of ways to take advan­tage of your stu­dent ID.

Movies: The AMC Loews Boston Common the­ater offers dis­counted tickets to stu­dents every Thursday, while the Regal Fenway Sta­dium 13, the Brattle The­atre in Har­vard Square and the Kendall Square Cinema pro­vide cut-​​rate stu­dent tickets on a daily basis. Stu­dents can also get a dis­counted mem­ber­ship to the Coolidge Corner The­atre in Brook­line and watch films at the Museum of Fine Arts for the same price as members.

Museums: Admis­sion to the Museum of Fine Arts Boston is free to North­eastern under­grad­u­ates with a valid Husky Card. The recently expanded Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, in the Fenway, offers stu­dents admis­sion for $5. Admis­sion to the Insti­tute of Con­tem­po­rary Art is $10, with free admis­sion every Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m.

The­atre and Per­for­mances: For $25, stu­dents can pur­chase a Boston Sym­phony Orchestra Col­lege Card, which includes free day-​​of tickets to Sym­phony Hall performances. Student tickets to the Improv Asylum in the North End cost $10 on both Wednes­days and Sun­days and $15 on both Thurs­days and Fri­days. Tickets to any Hunt­ington The­atre per­for­mance are $25 for anyone 35 and younger.

Shop­ping: Showing your Husky Card is the ticket to get­ting 10 per­cent off pur­chases from City Sports, 15 per­cent off from both J. Crew and Banana Republic and 20 per­cent off from Club Monaco. If you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, J.P. Licks in Brigham Circle gives Husky Card-​​carrying North­eastern stu­dents a 10 per­cent dis­count. For the tech-​​savvy, the Apple Store gives stu­dents and pro­fes­sors dis­counts on hard­ware and soft­ware in store and online.

Travel: Stu­dent Uni­verse and STA Travel pro­vide dis­count air­fare and accom­mo­da­tions for stu­dents looking to travel within the United States or to select des­ti­na­tions around the world.
