WHO/​WHAT: North­eastern University’s “Meet the Author” series wel­comes per­sonal finance expert Man­isha Thakor to dis­cuss her new finan­cial plan­ning guide On My Own Two Feet.

Billed as the modern girl’s guide to per­sonal finance, On My Own Two Feet dis­cusses how to avoid falling into credit card debt, how to budget and save income and how to deal with large pur­chases such as cars or homes.

Hailed for pro­viding sound and pru­dent advice, critics call Thakor a finan­cial physi­cian for redefining per­sonal finance in a suc­cinct guide to man­aging a suc­cessful finan­cial life.
