Why Now?
Northeastern’s need for a new graphic identity is based not on change, but on our success and a clear vision for the University's future. Our core values have changed not at all since 1997, when the existing graphic identity was introduced. However, over the past year we have articulated and begun to implement a plan for Northeastern that builds on those core values, elevating the academic enterprise in every way: in teaching and in research, in the partnerships we have developed, and in the ways we engage with the wider world. Our shared achievements, and the changing aspirations that flow from them, warrant a new symbolic representation of who we are and what we stand for: a global university committed to engaging students with the world through its leading experiential model of education, and a hub for high-impact research that produces solutions to real-world problems. The new graphic identity speaks to our achievements and aspirations, and to the core values that have served as the foundation for our success since 1898. | ||
