Since its founding in 1898, Northeastern has emphasized real-world understanding as a key component of the academic enterprise. We integrate innovative academics with our signature cooperative education program and other kinds of experiential learning, such as clinicals, research, study abroad, and internships.

This multidimensional learning environment makes a Northeastern education like no other. The integration of course work and experience develops students' critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills while introducing them to new perspectives in their fields. As a result, our undergraduates and graduates of our doctoral, masters, law, and professional degree programs, are better prepared for the lives they choose.

The University offers ample financial aid to students seeking the benefits of a Northeastern education, through a combination of need-based aid and merit scholarships for undergraduates; and assistantships and stipends for students in academic and professional graduate programs.
