Anonymous Reporting Hotline
Northeastern University uses an independent third party company, EthicsPoint, to provide an anonymous and confidential reporting line for all members of the University community. This allows any person to report activities that may involve unethical or otherwise inappropriate activity or behavior in violation of Northeastern University's established policies and procedures. All reports submitted to Ethicspoint are protected under the Whistleblower Policy.
You may file a report to Northeastern University onthe web or telephone.
Website: EthicsPoint Online
How it works
The identity of any person using the website is kept confidential by EthicsPoint, which maintains the site. Only the reported information is forwarded to Northeastern. While anonymous reporting is provided, certain situations may require the individual to eventually make his or her identity known in order to allow the University to fully address the concern. However, the decision to disclose or not is up to the individual.
Upon submission of a report, EthicsPoint will promptly forward the report to Internal Audit for review and investigation. Based on the nature of the report, Internal Audit will forward the report to the appropriate University personnel. All reports will be investigated promptly and discreetly, receiving careful consideration with the objective of addressing any improper conduct or violation of University policy.
If you file a report through EthicsPoint, you are encouraged to return to the website or call back after 10 business days. The University may have information for you regarding your report, or may request additional information from you that is necessary in order to complete the investigation. In all cases, your anonymity will be protected by EthicsPoint.
If you have questions about the Compliance Hotline or the type of activity the Hotline is set-up to address, please contact Internal Audit at 617-373-5997.-
