Seeking short multi-perspective submissions that engage with the legacy of Howard L. Reiter (1945-2012) for an upcoming special forum within The New England Journal of Political Science.
Howard L. Reiter was Professor Emeritus and former chair of the Political Science Department at the University of Connecticut, and served as President of the New England Political Science Association 2010-2011. Dr. Reiter’s scholarship and teaching focused on American Politics and particularly electoral politics, of which he has numerous publications. Dr. Reiter is known for his generous mentorship, committed leadership, and enduring friendship.
Submissions may take any stylistic form (i.e., poetry, quote, letter, paragraph note) up to 300 words and be remembrances and thoughts about the ways Dr. Reiter influenced the field, NEPSA, and people’s lives and careers. These short submissions will be collected together and presented as a tribute to the various ways people in the New England Political Science Association, and beyond, have interacted with him and his work.
Please send submissions to: heather.turcotte@uconn.edu.
Submission deadline: June 30, 2012.
If you have any questions about your registration status, please contact NEPSA Secretary-Treasurer Joe Reisert, Department of Government, Colby College, 5300 Mayflower Hill, Waterville, ME 04901. Email: jrreiser@colby.edu.
