Research In September 2009 I enrolled at Northeastern University as a Chemical Engineering PhD student. I am working on magnetic properties of Fe-doped Titania nanotubes, under supervision of Dr. Laura H. Lewis and Dr. Latika Menon. The advantages out of this unique material may be enhanced by incorporation of transition metals such as Ni, Fe, and Co. By incorporating the transition metals in titania nanotubes, it is possible that a dilute magnetic semiconductors (DMS) may be achieved, with applications in spintronic devices. I hope to find a method of preparing this tailored material and study its magnetic, optical, and morphological properties.
About Along with scientific research, I enjoy reading books, hiking, and playing guitar in my free time, if any!
