Huskies to Host Nationals in 2014!
2013
is looking to be a great year as the team has been selected to host the
National Tournament March 21-25, 2014 at the New England Sports Center
(NESC) in Marlboro, MA. The team is very excited to be in this position
and will be receiving an Auto-Bid to their third straight National Tournament.
There will be more information available in the coming weeks.
It was another exciting year for the Huskies that included a repeat Beanpot Championship, four time repeat NECHA Regular Season League Championship, NECHA Playoff Championship, and a second straight bid to the ACHA National Tournament.
Unfortunately, the team came up empty at the National Tournament with a 2-1 record in pool play. Losing only to ASU in overtime of the first game and beating the eventual National runner-up in Grand Valley State University. Eventually GVSU moved on out of pool play because of head to head tiebreakers.
As we close out the season and graduate another class of players, we are actively looking to get in touch with incoming students who wish to try out for the coming season. Tryouts are typically the first week in October and more information will be posted as it becomes available to us.
