The Dialogue of Civilizations Program is nationally recognized and internationally acclaimed as one of Northeastern’s signature experiential education programs.

The Dialogue Program has its roots in 1994, when Prof. Sullivan led 10 students – 7 undergraduate and 3 graduate – to Cairo for a conference on the Arab League.  The Egypt Dialogue continued every year since then – and the Program expanded considerably after 2003.  Today, over 1,000 undergraduate students participate in nearly 50 programs around the world.

While Egypt is not currently feasible, given the insecurity there, Dialogues continue across the Middle East – including Jordan, Israel, Turkey, and Morocco.
