Join MSC Assistant Professor, Dr. David Kimbro, as he talks about the role of the media environmental decision making using a case study from the Apalachicola oyster fishery. Can a combination of very basic researach and film/story telling establish a better connection between scientists, citizens, and the environmental issue? Can this help promote the funding needed for the basic research and resolution of the problem? Is this the way forward?
This lecture will be held at the Nahant Village Church, 27 Cliff Street in Nahant. It is free and open to the public, and no RSVP is required. The talks usually last about an hour, and light refreshments begin about half an hour before each event.
