Finitely Presented Functors and Auslander-Reiten Theory

ABSTRACT: The talk will cover some of the fundamental properties of finitely presented functors on the categories of modules. This was the beautiful foundation of the well known Auslander-Reiten theory, originally developed for artin algebras, but the theory is expanded and used to many other set-ups, for example Cohen Macaulay theory and more recently Auslander-Reiten quivers became a very powerful tool in many aspects of cluster theory.
