 The Adjoint Grid and Applications

ABSTRACTUsing the satellite functors, Mislin defined Tate cohomology of an arbitrary group. The same procedure yields Vogel cohomology over an arbitrary ring. Similarly, Yoshino uses the satellite functors to construct Tate-Vogel completion over an arbitrary ring. It turns out that the results of Mislin and Yoshino can be obtained as specializations of a more general construct, which we call the adjoint grid. In this talk, I will explain how to construct the adjoint grid and discuss applications to Vogel cohomology and Vogel homology.
