 Constructing Galois Deformation Spaces and
Modularity Conjectures

ABSTRACT:  Wiles' proof of Fermat's last theorem 15 years ago marked the beginning of a series of breakthroughs in number theory. One important technique in all these work is describing certain Galois deformation spaces. In this talk we shall discuss how our explicit construction of the local Galois deformation space, especially in the 2-dimensional case, helps in solving some modularity conjectures.
