Conformal Algebras, II
ABSTRACT:
Conformal
superalgebras establish a rigorous algebraic foundation for the theory
of vertex algebras and, more generally, conformal field theory. I
will repeat the definitions given last time and then proceed to explain
the relation between conformal algebras and the so-called
superconformal algebras of superstring theory. Then I will
describe the general set-up for "conformal representation theory" and
related combinatorial and algebraic problems.
