Homology of Braids and Fusion Rules

ABSTRACT: The quantum fusion rules of the representation theory of sl(2) parametrize the spaces of sl(2)-invariant conformal blocks on the Riemann sphere. To construct bases for these spaces is a central problem in  conformal field theory. Our goal here is to describe such bases in terms of hypergeometric integrals. A crucial ingredient in the construction are the cycles of integration, which live in the locally finite twisted homology of the discriminantal braid group.
