Cluster Algebras of Finite Type
ABSTRACT:
This
is a continuation of my January
25 talk
at this seminar (an effort will be made to make this talk self-contained).
We
will concentrate on cluster algebras of finite type. Their classification
turns out to be yet another instance of the famous Cartan-Killing classification.
We will discuss an explicit construction of a cluster algebra associated
with an arbitrary finite root system. An important ingredient of this construction
is a "generalized associahedron" associated to any root system in a recent
work by S. Fomin and myself.
