Modules of Infinite Length over Canonical Algebras
ABSTRACT: In the representation theory of finite dimensional algebras one has mainly investigated the modules of finite length. In this talk, which is based on joint work with C.M. Ringel, we investigate modules of infinite length over (concealed) canonical algebras. The investigation is centered around some classes of modules with nice properties, called generic modules and Pruefer modules. In some sense these modules determine all other modules. We also discuss connections to tilting theory.
