OGL, Senior Research Scientist
Robbie received her Ph.D. in Pathobiology at the University of Florida in 1999. Since that time, her research has encompassed a wide range of applications in the realm of parasitology and immunology, primarily focused on host-parasite interactions of the intestinal apicomplexan parasite, Cryptosporidium. She is a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Geographic Medicine and Infectious Diseases at Tufts Medical Center, where she continues her parasitology research, and she is the vice-chair of the Tufts Institutional Biosafety Committee. She is currently conducting research on OGL’s NSF-sponsored program, “Lignocellulose degradation by shipworms and their bacterial endosymbionts”.
